How to set up a wifi extender to mesh network?

Wireless Method

  1. Turn on your mesh router.
  2. Go to your router’s web interface and Set the router into Repeater/Extender Mode.
  3. In order to change the mode, Go to “General Setting” > Change Operating Mode > Select Repeater/Extender Mode.
  4. Then, connect the Extender to the mains via the supplied power adapter. Make sure that the extender’s LED is blinking solid green.
  5. Press the WPS button once which is located back of the extender. This will allow building a quick network connection between the extender and mesh router.
  6. In the same way, push the WPS button of mesh wifi. If you want to use the 5 GHz band then push the WPS button twice.
  7. Wait until the WPS LED shows green for both devices.
  8. Done now you have successfully built a connection between your wifi extender and mesh wifi.

Wired Method

  1. Make sure that your mesh wifi is on and is connected to the Internet.
  2. Go to your mesh router’s web interface and Set the router into Repeater/Extender Mode.
  3. In order to change the mode, Go to “General Setting” > Change Operating Mode > Select Repeater/Extender Mode.
  4. Now, connect the wifi Extender to the Main Mesh Router using the supplied Ethernet cable.
  5. Then, connect the Extender to the mains via the supplied power adapter. Make sure that the extender’s LED is blinking solid green.
  6. If your Extender has the hardware Operating Mode switch on the case, perform a factory reset (using the Reset button).
  7. Open a web browser, and log in to the Mesh Router’s web interface. Select the ‘Wi-Fi system’ section and click ‘Acquire’ to add the Extender to your Wi-Fi System.
  8. Wait until the process is complete.
